Katherine pursued her love of design by attending Seminole State College of Florida, receiving her A.S. degree in Interior Design in 2014 and completing her Bachelor of Applied Science in Interior Design in 2015. Part of her education included the study of art and architecture in Italy. She is an awarding winning designer, who placed first in the 2014 bathroom design category sponsored by the National Kitchen and Bath Association, of which she is a member. Katherine has gained extensive knowledge of the home furnishing industry through her past connection with a high-end retail gallery.
Katherine’s meticulous attention to even the most minute of details is apparent throughout the entire design process from conception to execution. Her goal is to take clients’ disjointed ideas and visions for their homes and turn their design dreams into reality.
With a degree in Business Management, Karen’s career in the home building industry included roles in virtually all aspects of the business, including sales, field support, customer selections, purchasing, estimating and model home decoration and merchandising. The experience and love of model home design triggered her to return to school for formal design training and she currently holds a degree in Interior Design with continuing education in the National Kitchen and Bath Certification Program.
She often combines her interest in art history with current design trends to create a comfortable, contemporary style. With her experience in the home building industry, she has knowledge, understanding and empathy regarding management of design from the builder and homeowner perspective.
Karen believes she is privileged to have met Katherine and Debbie in the design program at Seminole State College of Florida and immediately recognized how well their talents compliment each other.
